Jordanian Journalism between Professionalism and Sociopolitical Pressure ("Alghad" and "Alarab Alyoum": A Case Study) (in Arabic)

The purpose of this study is to identify the pressures facing the journalists in Al-Gad and Arab Alyoum newspapers.
The findings of the study revealed that the majority of the journalists in the two newspapers hold B. As in different specialites from various areas.
The study showed that the percentage of those majoring in journalism and mass communication comes up to 43.2%, and 45.4% of them have no good command of English language. They relye on Arabic sources in collecting news and information, such as radio and television stations.
The study revealed that 55.7% of the journalists have no idea about the policy of the newspaper they work for. In addition they do not belong to any political party. 44.6% of them claimed neutralism and objectivity and weakness of the political parties in Jordan. The same percentage believes that they have nothing to do with the political development, and its governmental issuance. The most striking result of the study is that, 80.7% of the journalists confirmed that the two newspapers support them when they sued due to their writings.
The study revealed that the low monthly salary income heads pressures facing the journalists. They believe that this low salary income does not meet the cost of living which forced them to live in areas of middle level housing.
The researcher pursued the descriptive methodology as one of the cornerstone of the scientific research and also it is convenient for the nature of the question of this study.
