Submission Requirements
The editorial team of the JGAPS is committed to both transparency and rigor in conducting and reporting research. Manuscripts submitted for publication must be in accordance with the following requirements and guidelines:

•    The researcher must have either the Ph.D degree or a participant with a Ph.D holder.
•    The content must be of direct relevance to the Gulf, its countries, and the Arabian Peninsula.
•    Has to be original, andnot been previously published nor submitted for publication elsewhere.
•    Once is prepared in accordance with the below guidelines, manuscripts should be submitted via this email: jgaps@ku.edu.kw
•    The consent letter should be signed by the correspondence author and attached with manuscript. It contains declarationof any financial support or relationships that may pose conflict of interest. All authors must have agreed to the content of the statement.
•    Authors need to provide a brief bio in Arabic and English which includefull name, last academic degree obtained, year of graduation and university, academic rank if any, area of specialization, affiliations, postal and electronic addresses, phone numbers.
•    The journal accepts only digital files sent by email. Please do not send paper format.

Manuscript Format and Style
•    Authors should consult the APA Style Journal Article Reporting Standards (JARS) for quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research before submitting.
•    For English manuscript:
-    The first page includes the title, full names of the authors, institutional affiliations, addresses, emails, contact numbers,and acknowledgements (optional).
-    The second page is for English abstract whichshould be between 150-250 words.  Five keywords appear below the English abstracts.
-    The third page is for the translated Arabic title and abstract which should be between 150-250 words.  Three to five English keywords should appear below the abstracts.
-    The main text starts in the fourth page with the title but should not include any information that might identify the authors.
•    For Arabic manuscript, please refer to the instructions in Arabic.
•    The content of the abstract, whether in Arabic or English, must include the following sections: Objective, Method, Results and Conclusions, and should not contain abbreviations or references.
•    The main text file should not exceed 10000 wordsincluding abstract, tables, figures, references, and footnotesand endnotes, if any.
•    The file should be typed with Microsoft Word, using Times New Roman for Arabic and English text.Font size is 14 for Arabic text and 12 for English text.
•    Allow 1.5 space between lines, and double space between paragraphs.Paragraphs are indented spaces or Tab key once.
•    Manuscripts should follow the style of the American Psychological Association (7th edition)
•    Empirical reports should follow the following structure:
-    Introduction:Include importance of the problem, theoretical background, comprehensive and up-to-date literature review, gap in the literature, how the present study is different to previous research, aims, and theory-driven hypothesesor research questions that relate to the study design and hypotheses.
-    Method: Contain detailed information of the participants (e.g. demographic variables, sampling procedures,sample size, inclusion/exclusion criteria, place were collected, incentive to participate if used, andinformed consent), measures used (e.g. psychometric or biometric characteristics, item numbers and examples, and scoring method), and procedures (e.g. assignment method,statistical analyses used)
-    Results:Details about the statistical package that was used,information about any missing data and the methods used to deal withit, problems with assumptions or distributions that could affect the validity of the results,statistical analyses, significance of results,details about the randomized controlled trials, reports about the variables’ means, standard deviations, 95% confidence intervals, effect sizes, subgroup sizes,inferential statistics, the direction, magnitude, degrees of freedom, and exact p level,variance-covariance matrix or matrices associated with multivariate analysis.
-    Discussion:a statement describing support or non-support for all hypotheses, whether the results obtained are similar or differentfrom those found in previous research, interpretation of the results, possible bias and threats to validity, limitations, generalizability of the findings, implications for future researchor policies, and a concluding paragraph.
-    References: follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition) . Please insert the doi for each reference where available. You can obtain the doi from Crossref .
•    Tables and figures must be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition) . Once acceptanced, high-resolution figures (at least 300 d.p.i.) saved as .tif files should be uploaded.
•    Endnotes, if used,should contain short comments. Pleaseplace them at the end of the manuscript. They should be numbered using superscript Arabic numerals.
•    Appendices, if any,should be placedafter the References section.

In Text Citation and References
In text citations must be referred to in the text by author's last name and year of publication in parentheses (Gore, 2006). Citations in parenthetical form should be ordered alphabetically. Where there are three or more authors, the first author’s name is cited followed with “et al.” (Alfahad, et al., 2018). Page number is indicated after the year of publication for books and large documents (Alhabeedb, 2020, p.35). Works published by organizations or establishments should be acknowledged by reference to the name of the publishing body (Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science, 1999, p.151). For direct citation, place the author name outside of the parentheses, e,g, Hashimi (2019) believes that ... . Quotations have to be accurately cited and documented between quotation marks with page numbers adequately provided.
Arabic references should precede those in other languages if any. List all references in alphabetical orderby last name (dismiss the “Al” for Arabic last names). Each listed reference should be cited in text, and each text citation should be listed in the References section. Here are examples of basic reference formats:
