Auther : H.El-Feky
The Primary concerns of this study are three : first, the effect of the mothers personality characteristics on the different aspects of the childs development. Second the effects of the type of mother care on psychological , social, and emotional and third, the different outcomes of the different socialization processes used . The study deals mainly with the negative outcomes of the mothers carelessness toward the child needs. Carelessness on the part of the mother is apt to cause considerable harm to the child especially in his social and emotional development. Disturbed mothers were found to have maladjusted children. Some of the problems that those maladjusted children suffer from are: slow language development, stuttering , poor interpersonal relations, poor and negative self-concept. The paper considers the ignorance of the mothers role and responsibility as the main factors in the physical, mental and psychological retardation as well as in many cases the cause of death among the newborn children. Many of the relationships between the mothers role and the childs welfare were expressed in co relational terms.
