A Survey of U.A.E Students’ Attitudes Towards the Gulf War
Auther : Jamal A. Al-Sanad - Shamlan Y. AL-Essa
The study is a field-survey of U.A.E students’ attitudes towards the Gulf war. More specifically, it is concerned with the students’ self-perception and attitudes towards the role of the media and security arrangements in the Gulf. The findings revealed that major shift in the student’s attitudes from Arab nationalism towards Islam has taken place due to people’s disappointment with Arab nationalism after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and to the already established positive attitudes towards Islam. Suggestions for further research and implications of this study were discussed.
