The purpose of this study was to investigate the opinions of the supervisors in the Ministry of Education concerning the objectives, significance, and practices of their career.
In order to achieve this purpose a number of supervisors were subjected to a questionnaire. The following results were obtained:
1- There was a general consensus among the supervisors that an evolutional study of their career is very significant for feedback and professional development.
2- Specifying the main objectives of the supervisors’ career was strongly needed.
3- A general complaint was sensed regarding being overloaded with tasks, some of which are not related to their career.
4- Supervisors expressed their need for a specialized library, and one day week to be assigned for office or library work which will contribute to the quality of their work.
Based on these findings, recommendations were drawn for the professional growth of the supervisors’ career which will ultimately contribute to the development of the educational process in Kuwait.
