This article discusses the following principal question; What are the relations between politics and how do they influence the evolution of the Contemporary International system ?
This question attracts the attention of many Political and Economic scientists. It defines the traditional separation between “High Politics” and “Low Politics”. It recognizes the continuous interaction between the Political and economic factors, forces and events. Therefore, the study is divided into three parts:
The first deals with the definition of the international Political economy, the evolution of its importance and how the different schools of thought treated the relations between politics and economics.
The second analyzes the perspectives and causes of the renewal of importance of the International Political economy. It tries to explain the structural evolution in the contemporary international system. It suggests a certain frame of analysis to study the relations between Politics and economics at the international level.
The third summarizes the significance of the historical evolution of the International political and economic system since the 15th century. It concentrates on the evolution of the international system structure.
According to the whole analysis of these three related circles (conceptual, practical, historical) we see that the study can fulfill its main objective that is the emphasis on the necessity of the study of the reciprocal interactions between politics and economics.
