International experience in privatization : lessons from Malaysia ,New Zealand , and Mexico

The move to a free market economy through liberalization and privatization policies is reviewed in three countries where significant progress was made recent years. The prevailing economic conditions before these reforms are presented as a prelude to the privatization process . the objectives , scope , and methods of privatization are presented and labor, regulatory and legal related issues are discussed . an overall assessment is then provided for each experience which can be used by researchers and policy makers as a guide in designing and implementing privatization strategies suitable in their countries.
