The main purpose of this study is to analyze the Characteristics and aspects of urban planning in Kuwait . It is also an attempt to explain those factors which affect urban planning decisions and how such decisions have developed in Kuwait . on the other hand , the study also tries to explain the impact of western schools on urban planning in Kuwait , particularly the British and American schools , as a result of the great influence they have had throughout the application of master plans under their supervisions ,  particularly the British school . the study also sheds some lights on the main aspects of urban planning problems in Kuwait , and in similar countries in the third world.
