The IBN Rifadah Movement Against IBN Saud-1932
Auther : Ftoah Khatrash
In the summer of 1932 (1351 H), Hamed Ibn Rifadah lunched an attacked on the Northern border of Hijas, but the troops mobilized by Abdul Aziz Ben Saud destroyed the rebels including Ibn Rifadah himself. At first glance such an incident could be considered as a usual one that could have taken place in the Arabian pensula at any time during that era. Especially when Ibn Saud was engaged in dealing with the affairs of his kingdom as well as his enemies. But a second look at this incident can reveal the facts of the situation, which prevailed in Arabia at that time. This study therefore, will depend on facts and available documents in an attempt to reveal the aims and causes of such a rebellion at a time when Ibn Saud was engaged in his grievances.
