Previous Issues

This study deals with 19th century Egypt, as seen through the eyes of the Egyptian historian, El Ghabarty. Two issues are discussed : El Ghabarty and the ruling class, and El Ghabarty’s treatment of revolution as a political and social phenomenon.

The methodology followed in the analysis of these two issues is that of the Society of knowledge and the approach is essentially socio-historical. It is a model of the working relationships between the disciplines of Sociology and History.
