POLICY TOWARD A COMMON ARAB PETROLEUM
Auther : Hameed A1-Qaysi
It is time for the Arab petroleum-exporting countries to have a common petroleum policy especially with the existence of the Organization of Arab Producing Countries (OAPEC). The elements of any petroleum policy are many, but we can emphasize the following of common pricing policy based on production control and quotas, price differentials because of weights, sulfur contents and transportation costs and following a common conservation policy.
The need for a common pricing policy based on the control of time to agree on price differences due to weight, sulfur contents and common petroleum reservoirs and there is an urgent need for common conservation techniques to be followed. The neighboring Arab countries would discover that reservoir pressures are wasted if a scientific conservation technique is not followed.
