Auther : Abdel Khaleg Al-KhatatnihMuneer Karadsheh-
-The study aims to analyze the influences of some social factors on fertility level in Jordan. Data were derived from the population and family health survey of 2002 in Jordan which was conducted by the Department of Statistics. The study used the descriptive and analytical statistical techniques (general) linear model and step wise-regression to achieve the objectives of the research. The main result of the study indicates a clear relationship between social factors like wife education level, wife work status, religious affiliation, and place of residence. In addition, the demographic factors such as child mortality, current wife age, and wife age at marriage were found to be of a significant influence on fertility in Jordan.
