This study aims to investigate the effect of globalization on values from the point of view of the University of Jordan and Kuwait University students. To fulfill this purpose, (2000) students were randomly chosen from the University of Jordan and Kuwait University. A scale consisting of (30) items was prepared for this purpose: (19) items measure the effect of globalization on cultural values and (11) items measure the effect of globalization on religious values. Results of the study maybe summarized as follows.
- The values that are most affected by globalization in view of students of both universities were as follows: investment, education, planning for the future, competition, friendship, belonging to the vocational foundation, doing good work, friendship between both sexes, bearing responsibility, and honesty. The students also believe that globalization establishes these values and decreases the value of the relative relevance, flattering, kinship and tolerance.
- There was a statistically significant effect of globalization on values in both the university variable and the sex variable.
- There was a statically significant effect of globalization on religious values in each of these variables: university variable, sex variable, and dual interaction (university * sex) variable.
- There was a statically significant effect of globalization on cultural values in the university variable.
