The Acceptance of Womens Leadership Roles by Educational Sciences Students in Private Universities in Jordan

The purpose of this study is to define the acceptance of womens leadership roles by educational sciences students in private universities in Jordan. The study sample consisted 0f (352) male and female students, and a questionnaire of (54) items was designed. The results indicated the following: 66.1% of the respondents accepted womens leadership roles. Furthermore, 68.2% of the respondents perceived that there are obstacles for womens leadership, and there were statistically significant differences in response according to male and female respondents. There were no significant differences in response from women according the place of residence ( city, village) toward the acceptance of womens leadership. However, there were statistically significant differences in response from males residing in cities, but no significant differences for village dwellers regardless of gender.
