Emotional Intelligence and Communications Skills of Teachers in the Ministry of Education - State of Kuwait.A Psychometrics Study of Arabic Scales in Schools.

The objectives of this study are to recognize the level of emotional intelligence of teachers in the Ministry of Education within the context of preparing a Scale of Emotional Intelligence according to Salovey and Mayers model, and a scale of communication skills according to the researchers model derived from a Theory of Emotional Intelligence. The sample involved 407 male and female teachers from different schools in the Ministry of Education, in the State of Kuwait. The study has the following conclusions:
1- There are significant differences between male and female teachers in the Ministry of Education regarding levels of emotional intelligence, in favor of female teachers.
2- There are no significant differences between male and female teachers on a Scale of Communication Skills.
3- There is a significant correlation at level 0.000, between emotional intelligence and level of communication skills .
4- There are four secondary components of the Scale of Emotional Intelligence and Scale of Communication Skills obtained through factor analysis, and the level of scientific trustworthiness of the validity, stability and psychometric structure of the two scales.
5- There is a relatively acceptable level with male and female teachers in the Ministry of Education, on the Scale of Emotional Intelligence.
