Auther : Muhammad G. Almatar
Interest in the study of the relationship between natural and human phenomena and their surrounding environment is what differentiates grography from the other social sciences, as it focuses on anlyzing the impact of location on the phenomena existing in that location. Studying Urban Services is one of the phenomena that geographers are interested in analyzing to identify the method of their planning and to evaluate the already established ones. This study focused on nurseries which are considered one of these urban services in the Sate of Kuwait. The study employed geographic information systems and spatial statistical analysis to study the phenomenon, its distribution, and the nature of its deploment. The study used the spatial autocorrelation and the linear regression model to identify the factors affecting the uneven spread of nurseries in the study area. After identify the nature of the nurseries' deployment, the study recognized a set of factors and presented a number of recommendations. These recommendations will enable decision-makers and those interested in the field of urban services to organize their deployment and determine the factors that influence the increase or decrease of their distribution in the urban area.
