The Political Culture Pattern of the Members of Professional Associations and its Effect on their Attitudes towards the Political Movement in Jordan
Auther : Sultan ALQura'an Muddather Abu Karaki Hashem ALtaweel
This paper aimed to explore the nature of the relationship between the political culture pattern of the members of professional associations and their attitudes towards the political movement in Jordan. The sample of this study consisted of 661 members selected by a multiple phase sample. The questionnaire, which comprised three parts, was deliberately designed to achieve the objectives of this study. The first section was devoted to the subjects' personal information, while the second one, which comprised of 49 items distributed over three areas, sought to measure the pattern of political culture. The third section, which consisted of 22 items distributed over three areas, was meant to measure the future of the political movement. The study has revealed several important results. First, the political efficacy and proficiency of the members of Professional Associations and their attitudes towards government formation and governmental inputs and outputs were disintegrated. However, their attitudes towards others in the political system, their political confidence, and the extent of their understanding of the political game-laws were integrated. Finally, there was a clear correlation between the dimensions of the political culture with the exception of comprehending the rules of the political game and political efficacy. Nevertheless, there was no relationship between the efficacy of the political movement in the future and its role in the reform process, on one hand, and the attitudes towards the government formation (inputs and outputs), on the other.
