The Impact of the Arab Spring on the Political Elite in Jordan
Auther : Wasfi E. Aqeel Emad Shudoh
The study examined an important aspect of comparative policy studies. It sought to examine the role of the elite in Jordan at an important stage in the life of the Jordanian State by addressing the impact of the Arab Spring on the political elite with the proposition that there is a positive correlation between them. The study found that the influence of the Arab Spring has been largely reflected in the orientations of the elite and their attitudes towards the processes of reform and democratic transformation, while the method of recruitment and rotation continued to depend on the production of conservative elites that hold power in every major joint of the State.
