Structural Violence Indicators of Population Structure of Contemporary Kuwaiti Society

The main aim of this study is to identify indicators of structural violence in the population structure of Kuwaiti society, and to also identify the Kuwaiti citizens' attitudes towards these indicators. In order to achieve the study's aim, a non-random sample of 676 respondents of both sexes have been selected. It covered all the six governorates in Kuwait. A questionnaire was the major tool of this study. Structural Violence Attitudes Scale was developed by the researcher. Validity and reliability of the instrument was used. SPSS was used for data entry and analysis. Results show that social indicators of structural violence had the higher mean of the Structural Violence Attitudes Scale compared with the other six indicators. Data show that there is no significant difference between male and female in their attitudes in all the Structural Violence Attitudes Scale indicators. Also, data show that there are significant relationships among all Structural Violence Attitudes Scale dimensions.
