Anxiety Among Adolescents: A Comparative Study

The present study aimed by using the one-way Anova and two-way Anova analyses to find out the variations of the anxiety variable in accordance with both gender and nationality. The sample consisted of 600 male and female students from secondary schools of whom 300 were Kuwaitis and 300 were Stateless (non-Kuwaitis Bedoon). "Bedoon" were administered according to the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). The results in the two samples of Kuwaitis and the Stateless (non-Kuwaiti Bedoon) showed the following: there are significant differences between males and females in the "Beck Anxiety Inventory" according to the variable of gender, and there are significant differences between Kuwaiti and Bedoon in "Beck Anxiety Inventory" according to the nationality variable in addition to the impact of the interaction of both gender and nationality according to anxiety variable.
