Delayed Reproduction Syndrome in the Omani Family: A Field Study
Auther : Muneer Karadsheh Rahma Mahrooqi
The study aimed to examine the inherent factors of the marital infertility syndrome and find the most important of these factors among women suffering from infertility. The study was conducted on a sample of (317) of women who suffer from infertility and usually pay regular checkup visits to hospitals and private clinics specialized in maternity and infertility in Muscat at the Sultanate of Oman.
The study concluded that the women under study were clearly either so young or so old. Another characteristic feature of these women was the big difference between their ages and the ages of their husbands, which tends to be in favour of the husbands. Moreover, these women had high levels of education, descended from urban origins, contributed highly in the labor market, and belonged to families with high incomes.
