Use of Geographic Information Systems and Remote Investment in Future Tourist Planning and Direction for Gaza Governorates

This study seeks recognition of tourist potentialities of Gaza Sea sides, particularly amid endeavours to develop the corniche road in Gaza Strip. The aim is to determine different activities in the corniche area, particularly those relevant to tourist resources, such as swimming diving and fishing zones, besides other receational facilities. These moves are followed by classifying. The lands adjacent to seaside, through remote sensing photos, in order to achieve meximum use of exploiting the available natural elements and to protect the environmental features with the least possible cost amid effort.
The study further aims at relaising many objectives including the use of modern technique of Geography to set a proposal for developing Gaza Strip Coast in a way complying with the requirements of sustainable tourist development, recognizing the nature of tourist activities on Gaza Strip Seaside. The study problem, however as primarily reflected in the tourist industry, is lack of scientific planning amid modern techniques such as geographic information system and remote sensing. This lack meles the tourist activities, particularly in the corniche area poor in planning, in addition to improper expoitation of available resources.
