Psychological Security and its Relationship to Psychological Hardiness among a Sample of Children of Divorced Kuwaitis

The present study aims to explore the relationship between psychological security and psychological hardiness in a sample of children of divorced couples in the State of Ku-wait. It seeks to identify the differences based on gender as well as living with either par-ent. The study sample consisted of (100) students (50) females, (50) males, aged between (15 - 17) years, selected from secondary schools in Al Ahmadi governorate. The researcher used the psychological security and Psychological Hardiness Scale. The results indicated the presence of a positive, statistically significant correlation between psychological secu-rity and psychological hardiness. Other differences were noted in each of the gender and place of residence variables.
