Auther : Khaled M. AL Zyoud Nayef M. AL Zyoud
This study explores the role that sports clubs play in fulfilling the physical, cultural and social needs of physical education students at al-Yarmouk University. The two researchers followed a descriptive method. They distributed a questionnaire contain-ing 30 sections on a random sample of 190 male and female students. The 30 sections were organized into 3 parts: Physical, Cultural and Social. The results showed that sports clubs have a positive impact on the physical, social and cultural life. The study also showed that the sports needs of male and female students were met through the various programs offered. It also showed that students who live in the city benefit far more from these programs and facilities than students living in the countryside. The study recom-mends that the Sports and Youth administrations expand their physical, cultural and social activities to attract a greater number of youth to participate in these programs and create an environment more conducive to the exchange of expertise and foster positive contacts between the youth.
