Social Adjustment among the Inmates of Social Welfare in Public Education in Saudi Arabia

The aim of this study is to identify the degree of social adjustment among the inmates of the Social Welfare studying in public education institutions in Alrass city, Saudi Arabia. The descriptive method was used and a survey was conducted on a population of (102) participants.
Results indicate that the level of social adjustment among the inmates of the social Welfare was medium. The results show that the dimensions of social adjustment were in the following order in terms of significance: The adjustment to the environment in the social welfare home came first; the dimension of social relations came second; social participation came third, and self -complacency in the fourth place. Also noticed was a direct correlation of statistical significance between the students' levels of study in the school and the level of social adjustment; this indicates that the higher the level of education, the stronger is the level of social adjustment.
The study came up with the following recommendations the most prominent of which is the importance of increasing the level of healthy interaction between student counselors on the one hand, and psychologist and sociologists on the other, who are in the Social Welfare Home so as to cooperate and coordinate efforts for the welfare of the inmates .
