The Effect of Gender on Aggressive Behaviors among Kuwaiti Children

Child aggression is a serious social problem that affects childrens lives. This study examines the relationship between three types of aggressive behavior- physical, verbal, and indirect aggression - from sociocultural and social work perspectives. Furthermore, it investigates the effect of gender among the three types of aggressive behavior and the most common aggressive behavior among a sample of 329 Kuwaiti children. The results showed that there is a positive correlation between gender and the three types of aggression. In addition, the results showed that there are significant differences between boys and girls in terms of physical aggression, verbal aggression, and indirect aggression. The results also illustrated that indirect aggression is more prevalent among Kuwaiti children.
