Moral Values and the Development of Moral Judgment among King Saud University Students

The present study aims to examine the relationship between moral values and moral judgment development among King Saud University students. For this purpose, a Moral Judgment Test and a Values Questionnaire were used. The validity and stability of both tests were assertained. The sample was stratified random cluster; it consisted of 184 male and female students enrolled in King Saud University. The results revealed that the average moral values was estimated at (10.18). Results also showed that moral judgment repeatedly ranked fourth yielding the highest frequency. Moral values differed in favor of the older age group; differences in the development of morals according to various growth stages were also spotted (in stages II and III) in favor of males, and stages V and VI in favor of females. Stages II and III differed in favor of age (18-19) group, and in stages IV, V and VI the difference was in favor of the (21-22) age group. Differences between moral judgment in stage V and II were in favor of stage V. Difference between stage VI and II was significant in favor of the stage VI in moral values.
