Auther : Hayfa Alyousof - Abdelmotaleb Abdelkader

Objective: The study seeks to identify the relative contribution of some demographic and social variables in the prediction of attitudes toward voluntary work among a sample of Kuwaiti youth in the State of Kuwait. Methods: The basic sample of the study consisted of (323) Kuwaiti youth. The study tools included a scale of attitudes towards voluntary work, and a questionnaire to identify other variables. Results: There are differences between males and females in the attitudes towards the obstacles to voluntary work in favor of females. There are differences between married and single people in attitudes towards obstacles to voluntary work in favor of married people. There are differences between the three levels of religiosity in the direction of voluntary work facilitators in favor of those of medium religiosity, while there are no differences between them in the remaining dimensions of the attitudes towards voluntary work. There is no statistically significant factor in predicting the attitudes of Kuwaiti youth towards participating in voluntary work.
