Kuwait Foreign Trade between 1989-1999: An Analytical Geographical Study in the Geography of Foreign Trade

This study deals with the image of Kuwait foreign trade between the period 1989-1999, through reviewing trade exchange movement between Kuwait and the whole world, The results do correspond with the hypothesis of the research. and the changing image of the balance of trade.The study detected some results such as: the presence of geographical factors that affected the movement of trade exchange between Kuwait and the whole world. Among these factors are the geographical location of the country, population growth, oil discovery and the openness of the national economy. The study detected also the existence of constant growth in the volume of exporting and importing through the period of the study, except the year of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Asian markets were the most important to Kuwait exports. Together with the European group these markets came as the major for Kuwait imports. Sea Transportation was the master among other transportation means in the field of Kuwait exports and imports. Finally, the study ends with some recommendations.
