The aim of this research is to study the changes of the social values and their effects on the women status. In order to achieve this aim, the study considered the general social structure through analysing women status within the national and international social changes and their effects on the local society. The study included data collection, field study and the use of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
The following conclusions were reached:
1 - Education played a main role in changing many social values regarding women status and their role in society specially in socialaziation and their ability in problem solving.
2 - Many factors motivate women to work such as; economic independence, helping their husbands in life expenses, and finally self satisfaction.
3 - Many factors hampered women’s political partcipation such as; educational system which does not encourage the social awarness and its dependance on the use of traditional ways of teaching which are quite different from the current actual social life.
4 - There is general public opinion toward the positive participation of working and non-working women in society, allthough there are social, cultural, or personal, some obstacles.
