Predacious fungi from Sudanese soils

ABSTRACT

 

Fourteen species of predacious fungi, not previously reported from Sudanese soil, have been identified; Monacrosporium (3 spp.), Arthrobotrvs (3 spp.), Dactylaria (1 sp.) and Triposporim (1 sp.). Four endozoic nematophagous fungi have been isolated; Harposporium (2 spp.), Nematoctonus (1 sp.) and Meristacrum (1 sp.). Two species of Acaulopage predacious on protozoa were also found. No previous work has been published on predacious fungi from Sudanese soils. This paper is the result of a preliminary survey.
