ABSTRACT
Complexes of Cr(III) and Mn(II) containing a tetradentate macrocyclic nitrogen donor ligand have been prepared via template reaction of 2,3-pentanedione, o-phenylenediamine/1,2-diaminopropane/m-phenylenediamine and metal ions. The complexes have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, infrared, electronic and electron spin resonance spectral studies. All of complexes were found to have six-coordinate geometry and high-spin electronic configuration.
