New and noteworthy fungi from Kuwait

ABSTRACT
Seventeen species of fungi are reported for the first time from Kuwait : eleven Hyphomycetes and six Ascomycetes (Eurotiaceae, one species; Gymnoascaceae, two species; Chaetomiaceae, two species: and Microascaceae. one species). Chrysosporium Carmichael (Hyphormycetes), first recorded from Kuwait in 1971, was refound from numerous localities by the author. Cephaliophoratropica Thaxter, first recorded from Kuwait in 1982, was refound growing in abundance on dung.
