Under the sponsorship of the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, the Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Matiri, opened the activities of the Kuwait International Book Fair in its 48th edition, and the Academic Publishing Council of Kuwait University participated in a special suite in the exhibition grounds, in the presence of the Deputy Director of the University of Research and the Chairman of the Academic Publishing Council Professor Dr. Abdullah Jawad Sultan, and a number of members of the academic body from various faculties of the university, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, and the Council continues its participation in the exhibition in Hall No. (7) until Saturday, November 29, 2025. In this context, Professor Dr. Abdullah Sultan explained that the publications of the Academic Publishing Council are distinguished by being classified in prestigious global databases such as Scopus and Journal Citation Reports (JCR), reflecting the quality of their scientific content and their role in promoting cognitive production at regional and international levels. On her part, the Acting Manager of the Academic Publishing Council, Mrs. Yasra Al-Assaousi, confirmed that participation comes within the framework of the Council's commitment to support researchers and academics and to provide them the opportunity to publish their scientific productions. The participation of the Academic Publishing Council in the 48th Kuwait International Book Fair comes as part of the efforts of the Kuwait University to support scientific research, to highlight what the University produces from sober scientific works, and in response to the call of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature.
